Yankee Thrift Shop is open for business!
Hours: Fridays 1 - 5 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
(Donations can be left in the bin beside the door in the parking lot
or brought into the Thrift Shop during open hours.)
The Yankee Thrift Shop has been in business since April in 1965. We started out on Main Street and then moved over Flynn's Market, then moved to the Town Hall where they were they were there for a little while. We were offered space to move into the basement of the First Parish Federated Church and have been there ever since.
One of our missions is to support the church. We have contributed to major renovations and repairs for the church over the past years and continue to support the church's mission.
Our other mission is to serve the public. We have helped many families who have been through a crises giving them clothing and house ware to start up their homes. We have had many requests for donations to help other organizations with their mission. We have also sent many children and adults to camp, and on mission trips. We offer scholarships and financial support upon request.
The Thrift Shop is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and is a really fun place to work. You’re welcome to join us in this wonderful ministry!
