First Parish Federated Church
Our Programs
In South Berwick, First Parish Federated Church is well known as the community’s church.  We open our doors to the town, the schools, the Community Chorus, the Gospel Music Project, small groups from other churches, AA and Al-Anon meetings, scouting events and pre-school programs.  We provide well-attended community suppers and seasonal fairs, just to name a few!

Adult Programs
Programs for adults include Small Groups, Bible Discussions, Writing, and Mid-week worship opportunities.

Visitation and Care Team
The Visitation and Care Team, also referred to as the VCT, came about in 2007 when a few people attending a bible study mentioned that they were interested in visiting, making phone calls or sending cards to people who might be shut-ins, who are ill, or for joyful times, such as birthdays and other celebrations.  Every member of our congregation should feel cared for, important to the Church, and not alone.  The VCT communicates and works closely with Reverend Donna and the Board of Deacons.

Yankee Thrift Shop
Our Thrift Shop has been a long-trusted and wonderful presence in the community, participating heavily in the missions and outreach projects sponsored by the church, as well as their serving the various homeless and women’s shelters in the seacoast area.  There is a large selection of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing as well as jewelry, small household items, knick-knacks and books.  There is a 50 cent rack each week as well as selected half-price items and frequent half-price sales.

The Thrift Shop is open Thursdays from 5:30pm-8pm, and Fridays from 10am-5pm.

Community Food Pantry
The Community Food Pantry is open Thursdays from 6pm-7:30pm and Fridays from 10am-11:30pm.

Daisy's Children
Daisy's Children is a mission founded by Sharon Beckwith.  Sharon is the chairperson for the Social Action and Missions Committee at First Parish Federated Church, and a local kindergarten teacher.  She was touched by a story about a woman from Honduras named Deysi (Daisy), a 24-year-old mother of four who had died of starvation as she sacrificed to feed her children.  Sharon has made it her mission to see that her children are cared for and that their mother's sacrifice does not go without recognition.
